The machine is not super-silent. Whether you find it too noisy or not depends on your tolerance to sound. You would also find that the jars get a bit heated up while grinding.

Even so, it is a stylish addition and a good option if you don’t plan to do heavy duty grinding like turmeric, garam masala and such.
