While juicing is an important functionality of a juicer mixer grinding, what is even more important and used on a regular basis is the grinding functionality. Hence, it is important that you buy a juicer mixer grinder with enough jars (usually 3—one each for chutney jar, dry and wet grinding) so that your day to day needs are taken care of.
Higher the motor power, better the performance. If you use a mixer grinder on a regular basis for heavy duty grinding, then it is best to opt for a mixer grinder with more than 750-watt power. Moreover, the ones with 750+ watt motor power is found to have better efficiency for juicing too.
Finally, consider the features keeping in mind the price. If you use a mixer grinder on a regular basis for grinding masala, coconut paste, idili batter and for making juice, then you definitely need a mixer grinder with higher power and strong jars, which would cost you more. If you go stingy here and opt for a juicer mixer grinder with low power motor and not so strong jars, you will definitely have to spend a lot on repairs and spares—costing you even more in the long run.
For this reason, we highly recommend Sujata Powermatic Plus Juicer Mixer Grinder and Preethi Zodiac Mixer Grinder for those who heavily use mixer grinder on a regular basis.
Best Juicer Mixer Grinder In India
With 900 watt motor and two jars, Sujatha Powermatic Plus Juicer Mixer Grinder is a powerful centrifugal juicer cum mixer grinder suitable for both domestic as well as for commercial use. Thanks to the double ball bearing motor, the mixer grinder is found to run efficiently for years with minimal complaints. In fact, the Sujatha Dynamix Mixer Grinder we use at our home ( which uses same motor) has been running trouble free for the past 5 years. Even though it has a powerful motor, the noise is not too high or unbearable.
Talking about the juicer component, it can be run for continuously 90 minutes making it perfect for commercial use. We were able to make juice from carrot, beetroot, apple and other hard vegetables and fruits effortlessly. However, when it comes to citrus juice, you have to deseed the fruits else the juice tastes bitter from the crushed seeds. The mesh has a honeycomb filter structure, thus giving high juice yield.
When it comes to cleaning the juicer, you may find it a bit cumbersome the first few tries, but once you get a hang of how to remove the attachments, it will be pretty easy.
Sujatha Powermatic Juicer Mixer Grinder would have been a great choice had it been sold with a chutney jar. But it isn’t a cause of major worry because you can buy the chutney jar separately for about Rs. 400/-
Overall, it is a sturdy machine that can run trouble free in the long-term, making it a good choice for families with 4-5 members.
Equipped with 700 watt motor, the Philips Viva HL717 juicer mixer grinder is a complete package with chutney jar, blender jar and dry jar coming along with the juicer. The juicer attachment has a clip-on lock that ensures safe operation. Though not as efficient as Sujatha Powermatic, the juicer is good for hard and soft fruits/vegetables. However, a few users remark that the left-over pulp from the juicer is not quite dry and that it has to be further passed through a sieve to completely extract the juice—which kind of defeats the purpose of a juicer. Cleaning the juicer could also be a tad tedious—but that is something common to most centrifugal juicers.
Talking about the rest of the mixer grinder, it comes with anti-skid feet. The chutney jar that comes along has about 300 ml capacity, the dry jar about 1 L and the blender has 1.5 L capacity. However, a drawback is that the plastic on the bottom of the jars are not quite durable. If you don’t use it with care, it might develop cracks.
Another point to note while buying this juicer mixer grinder is to check for close by Philips service centre as some cities/towns don’t have service centres.
Overall, though Philips Viva HL7171 juicer mixer grinder has some awesome features, we feel that Sujatha Powermatic is better in terms of durability and efficiency.
Bajaj Majesty JX juicer mixer grinder is a budget-friendly option for a 4-5-member Indian family. It is a value for money product considering the features and the pocket-friendly price tag. However, it is NOT a heavy-duty mixer grinder. It has a 450-watt motor and can be used only for simple grinding and juicing soft fruit/veggies.
The mixer grinder comes with an anti-skid feet. It can be run on 2 speeds and has pulse option too. There are 2 jars that come along with the mixer grinder. The larger jar made of polycarbonate has 1.5 L capacity, while the smaller one has 1 L capacity. A chutney jar is conspicuous by its absence.
Overall, we would recommend this option only if you use a mixer grinder minimally for your cooking and if you make juices occasionally.
Preethi Zodiac Mixer Grinder doesn’t have a juicer attachment like the rest of the entries in this list. However, the 3 in 1 insta juicer jar is pretty good in juicing fruits like apple, grapes, pomegranate and even veggies like carrot and beetroot, making it a great option as a juicer mixer grinder.
The master chef jar which is a food processor jar can be used for atta kneading, chopping and slicing, while the other 3 jars can be used for all other dry and wet grinding jobs.
Overall, the 750 watt mixer grinder is a complete package that can take care of all prepping work in the kitchen. Read complete review here.
